This week on the podcast, Kathleen and I share our reflections of what our life has been like during quarantine. There have been some exciting developments, some pretty bad news, and some unexpected joys throughout this time.

We recorded an episode back in April when we had been in quarantine for about 2 weeks. It’s surreal to go back and listen to that episode now, as so much has changed in such a short amount of time. I can’t believe I was talking about streaming video games 3 times per week!

Overall, we have been grown significantly during quarantine. Our family has been challenged by this life changing event, but we’ve found the courage to set new boundaries and find a different level of harmony, respect, and accountability we didn’t have before.

Just like most orchestras in the United States, our job has taken a significant financial hit due to this pandemic, and we’ve been left wondering how we’re going to make up the difference. Being open to seeing ourselves differently has opened doors we never could have seen or imagined prior to life getting turned upside down.

I hope this episode serves to encourage you. There’s no manual for how to get through a pandemic, so it’s ok if you haven’t figured it out yet. We certainly haven’t. I’m hoping all of us can get to the other side of this difficult time with a healthier perspective on our lives, careers, families, and most importantly, ourselves.

I hope you enjoyed the episode. Stay strong, be kind to yourself, and never stop growing.

Until next time,

Ryan
